Benjamin Card, CISO/ CTO | Webcheck Security

Benjamin Card (CISSP, CIPM, PMP) started his career as a military intelligence Special Agent in the United States Army, serving overseas to perform human intelligence collection as well as Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), base, and force protection analyses. He went on to become a security consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Washington, DC, specializing in everything from security focused development to compliance audits at the Pentagon to computer forensics for the FDIC to penetration testing. Mr. Card went on to become the CISO for Sirsi Corp (dba, SirsiDynix), which position he has held for more than a dozen years. In that capacity, he led the organization to NIST SP 800-53 compliance, ISO 27001 certification, and FedRAMP authorization before once again becoming involved in consulting work, this time with Webcheck Security. With Webcheck, Mr. Card calls upon his extensive experience to provide Fractional Information Security Officer (FISO) and penetration testing services to a wide range of customers, assisting them with rapid maturation of their security programs.

Mike is known for his work and commitment to the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program, as well as his vast experience assessing Defense Industrial Base (DIB) contractors to ensure compliance with DFARS 252.204-7012 contract requirements while a member of the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Assessment Center (DIBCAC).
